Introducing Applied Neuroaesthetics: Implications for the Future of Medical Education
Dr. Žak Ozmo, Founder and CEO of the Ozmo Institute for Neuroaesthetics and faculty member at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), will present a featured seminar for UTHSC’s Department of Medical Education (DOME) Seminar Series. The lecture will explore the emerging field of applied neuroaesthetics—the study of how music, visual arts, architecture, and other aesthetic experiences influence the brain, health, and human behavior—and examined its potential role in shaping the future of medical education and healthcare. Bringing together perspectives from neuroscience, medicine, the arts, and community engagement, the seminar highlighted innovative approaches to healing, well-being, and professional training while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue across the health sciences.
