Student Engagement Event: Neuroscience of Music and Healing

Join Dr. Žak Ozmo, Founder and CEO of the Ozmo Institute for Neuroaesthetics and faculty member at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), for an engaging presentation introducing Neuroscience of Music and Healing, a new graduate-level special topics course in Anatomy and Neurobiology.

This interdisciplinary course explores the remarkable connections between neuroscience, music, health, and healing, examining how musical experiences shape the brain, influence well-being, and contribute to clinical and community-based approaches to care. The event will include a presentation and live musical performance by Dr. Ozmo, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the intersection of science, medicine, and the arts.
